There had been an initial request which had not been favourably received, after which it appears that the Archbishop of Dublin had found a way to allow the Dominican Sisters to sell their land on the Navan Road, but since their asking price was deemed prohibitive. Fr McMahon was returning to request the Cabra playing fields be sold to the Dublin Archdiocese.
