Letter from Fr William P. Hackett SJ, Terryglass to Irish Fr Provincial concerning a lecture he delivered in Murroe on Language and Nationality. Remarks that before he gave the 'lecture' he was informed that a meeting was to take place in each parish in Ireland, including Murroe, to protest against injustice. Remarks that he explained he could not share a platform with this protest and arranged for his lecture to take place before the protest and separate from it. Describes the circumstances of the lecture which gave the impression that he took part in a political meeting. Defends his position in the matter.
