            Letter from Fr Pierre-Jean de Smet of the Missouri Province to Irish Fr Provincial Nicholas Walsh SJ. Writes from Brussels, thanking Fr Walsh for his kindness to him and towards the Missouri Province. Refers to his departure for America at the end of the following month, and states his intention of going to Anvers in the meantime. Asks his addressee to tell the Rector at Milltown Park that the Procurator of the Belgian Province in Brussels has credited him (de Smet) with the £8 stg, with which he had been entrusted. Refers also to the necessary expenses to be incurred for the American candidates.
